Wicks

We have designed several proprietary weaves for contact staff wicks.  These different shapes allow for smooth movement and momentum, providing the best play for a contact staff.  Never settle for sushi-roll wrapped wicks again!

Lite Baller:
Our smallest spherical wick.  Great for shorter staffs (~4ft) or for multi-staff manipulation, where slightly smaller flame size is desired.  Weight ~160 grams per wick.

Baller:
Our most popular spherical wick and our go-to recommendation.  You won't find a staff wick like this anywhere else.  Weight ~200 grams per wick.  7~8 minute burn time.

Big Baller:
Next size up from our regular Baller wick.  Get this if you want a 9~10 minute burn time and like to sweat!   (We offer an unlisted 'Bigger Baller' wick if you need even more fire...).  Weight ~230 grams per wick.

Nebula:
Our original sphere wick, this weave is represents a leap in wick macrame evolution.  It's gone through many permutations and taught us much about making baller wicks.  Weight ~190 grams per wick.

Diamond Rose:
A deviation from our spherical wick designs. This wick is skinny at the bottom and tapers to a 4 sided diamond at the top.  Weight ~210 grams per wick.

Diameters

Several options for staff diameter (thickness).
This is the diameter of the carbon fiber core, before grip material is applied.

If you're unsure of which diameter to choose, we recommend 18mm.

Skinnier diameters roll more slowly, and thicker diameters roll more quickly.

The 16mm diameter size is currently a very popular diameter.  We recommend 16mm staves not be longer than 58 inches.  The skinnier carbon fiber poles will flex more easily, which can cause staves to feel bouncy and less rigid.

Grip

We offer 2 types of grips for your staff:

Wizard Grip:
The ultimate contact staff grip made from sustainable natural rubber.  It is light-weight, extremely grippy, and comfortable on the skin.  Absorbs sweat while maintaining very good traction.  Available in multiple colors, and as thin or double-thickness.  Requires replacing after about 1 season of use.  Prolonged UV-light exposure can degrade the natural rubber grip material.

Goat Grip:
A dense and durable rubber with a gripping texture.  The benefit of this grip is extreme durability.  Never worry about needing to replace your staff's grip.  Available only in black.
